Tapojärvi opens office in Pajala

At the turn of the year, Tapojärvi will start machine work in the ore production chain and production support work at Kaunis Iron in Pajala, Sweden. Preparatory work and recruitment is currently underway.

The contract with Kaunis Iron is another new service contract in Sweden this year. Previously, Tapojärvi Sweden signed an agreement with Zinkgruvan. Tapojärvi has also an existing service agreement with LKAB Malmberget.

“We are happy to start a new cooperation with Kaunis Iron. We will support and be part of the community in Pajala in the same way as we are in our other locations”, says Mari Pilventö, Managing Director of Tapojärvi Sverige AB.

Tapojärvi Sverige has opened an office in Pajala. Recruitment interviews are currently taking place in the office.

Janne Alatalo, Administrative Manager, says that more than half of the new employees have already been recruited, but interviews are still going on. There is a need for employees in production, maintenance, and administration.

“The goal is to employ as many people as possible in Pajala and the surrounding area,” says Alatalo.

In addition to hiring new employees, Tapojärvi invests in a new, modern machines and continues to invest in digitalization to optimize the delivery to its customers.
